Re: Pants Won't Tighten Up?

I think I have run into some kind of bug. When I display the jacket, I can clearly see that it is being included in the collision calculation for the pants. I thought if a pattern was hidden it would no longer be included for collision consideration. Is there any way to keep a frozen hidden pattern ...

Re: Pants Won't Tighten Up?

I also viewed the stress map and it does not make sense. Why is RED displayed in the areas where the pants are so lose? Also why are those buttons (round green items) from my jacket being displayed by the stress map? I have selected all the jacket patterns and have hidden and frozen them..? But they...

Re: Pants Won't Tighten Up?

On a whim, I thought I'd try the same test on a default avatar, not my imported FBX from MakeHuman.

It works as expected using pre-fab avatars. So the problem seems to be with the Avatar itself, ugh!

Re: Pants Won't Tighten Up?

Thanks for the reply Rosemaryr, Having that a additional measurement makes sense. Mine was a little off so I adjusted it to match the measurement. However, I still get the same problem. My waist is measured at 691 and I have the top part of the pants set to 538 wide. So that should be a snug fit at ...

Pants Won't Tighten Up?

Hi All, I had a problem getting a waist band to tighten up enough to hold the pants up. I eventually gave up on that pattern and drew all new patterns from Lori's Jeans tutorial. I think I have all the patterns setup correctly and the sewing right, however, the same problem still persists, the pants...

Re: Make Internal Lines Appear As Visible Stiching?

Thank you for the explanation. I think the fold strength is what I had seen demonstrated. I thought it was some kind of stitching.

I also watched your Hem Tutorial, thanks for that one as well.

[SOLVED]Make Internal Lines Appear As Visible Stiching?

Hi All, I have a simple dress pattern. I have placed an internal line along the bottom. But when I simulate I don't see any stitching for that line appear in my viewport. I know there are texture based approaches to this technique but I thought Marvelous Designer just did this by default. Maybe I ju...

Re: Remove Bunching In The Back?

Wait a second, the transform tool does have a size by percentage (SHIFT RIGHT-CLICK WHILE DRAGGING)!

So I can size my width by 96% and my height by 104% and then reset the warp and weft back to 100.

Re: Remove Bunching In The Back?

So is adjusting the warp and weft common place in Marvelous Designer? When I adjust those settings for the four patterns I do get a better fit. But this kind of implies that my measurements were wrong to begin with. Those values seem to act like an individual axis scale per pattern. In this case ind...

Re: Remove Bunching In The Back?

Thanks for the reply. I wondered about the mis-match on the lengths too. I have returned my patterns to a more-or-less symetrical state with lengths fairly matched. Making the back pattern wider does help but I still get that bunching on the back. I guess I was wondering if there is anything I can d...
