Re: Missing textures in MD 6 Enterprise

A question: When you do your export from MD, what settings do you select? Specifically, the most of the file format's export options have a check-box labeled: "Unified UV Coordinates". If this is *checked*, then you get a UV map which should look just like the 2D pattern window. However, any texture...

Re: Newbie Question about generated UV Maps

My suggestion: UVMapper https://uvmapper.com/downloads.html The Classic version is free, (....but the pro version is really worth it as well, for the price...) and the UV map can be taken into Photoshop (or other graphics programs) easily, for texturing work. The mesh grid does show up in UVMapper. ...

Re: Scaling the garment

Unfortunately, scaling a finished garment is not as easy as it is in other 3D modeling programs. MD's paradigm works *from* the 2D pattern pieces to the finished 3D garment. You have to use real-world mentality to work with it. In the real-world, you would not expect to take a finished size 2 shirt ...

Re: Help with Configurator

Well, I gave it a try. Copied the files to the Assets/Block/Women/Shirt folder, and confirmed that they were there, with the other files. But, on opening MD (and yes, it's version 3_2_120) the new files do not show in the blocks folder in the Configurator. No icons, and no way to add the files throu...

Re: Help with Configurator

Lori, I've been as sick as a dog this last week, so I haven't been able to do much. But I will try to play with this ASAP.

Re: How do i put a dress on someone laying on their stomach?

You do almost have the idea of what to do. You do not need to add any extra polygon to interact with, however. The ground plane will work just fine. What you do need to consider, is that the avatar's body will NOT squish the way real-world flesh will, nor will MD cloth simply stay put when trapped b...

Re: Issue : Import Avastar Avator into MD in Collada(.dae)

? White on white?

Do you mean that the background and ground plane are also completely white? Or something else? Do you have a screen-shot of the issue...?

Re: Material clinging in to itself

Overall, your project is looking quite good! Bravo! As for the interaction between the boots and the jacket: (assuming that the boots are also MD cloth creations...) once the various layers have mostly settled into their relative layer-position, it's usually best to then reset ALL of the layers back...
