Creating high waisted baggy trousers with wrinkles throughout pattern.

Post by dshieldsy26 »

Hi,

I'm really new to MD, I've only ever pieced small bits together to then take into Z-Brush, so i am having trouble with what I think is a really simple process. I'm creating high waisted trousers for my female character model and in all of my reference images there a large and small folds throughout the piece, however i can only seem to get the folds bunching around the knee area (where I have tight bands to cut off the trousers) and I can't seem to get any folds going up towards the torso and thigh area.

I have messed around with the weft and warp functions, adding more cloth to the pattern, cutting and sewing to make a new cut off point for the folds and I'm just struggling. If anyone can help or even refer me to a good tutorial I'd really appreciate it.

David :)

David,
It is hard to visualize what you are saying. If you could post some images, that would be helpful.
