Trim on a luhkka

Post by MarcusLaGrone » Mon Aug 10, 2015 2:39 am

This is a lukka over a gákti, still working on the details and trim on both.
I had a bit of a giggle fit when I realized I had, at one point, pinned the hood to the avatar's head to hold it in place while working... don't try THAT with a real model!

Piping! I was uncertain how I was going to set the base for the fur trim, so I ended up just using piping around the hood at 15mm and then added the fur to the piping. Not what is was designed for, but worked very well!

Luhkka and gákti..... a couple of terms for specific garments that I haven't encountered before! Thanks!
Which lead to a lot of information about the Sami people.... very nice.

Looking forward to how you continue this one!

Looks like piping is a nice basis for fur. Sometimes you've got to get creative. Nice work.
