Help! My avatars are translucent!!

Ask about specific settings, like fabric properties, or the difference between the sewing tools. These would be things you would expect to see in a software manual.

Help! My avatars are translucent!!

Post by Pelumisamuel34 » Wed Sep 05, 2018 9:10 pm

Hello marvellous people,

I have been using marvellous designer 7 for a while now with no problem. However, recently my avatars have become translucent with what looks like lymphatic node lines. This is not the regular mesh mode, but it's like the skin malfunctioned. Because of this, I can't see the clothes I make. Here are some pictures below.

I look forward to solutions.

Thank you.
I've simulated the clothes, but it is translucent

My basemesh does this if I use a PNG in the skin texture.
Try a jpeg instead.

This is a long standing issue in MD. It can't handle a PNG greater than 24 bit.

They've actually added an error box that will pop up that states this in the latest version. However, the pop-up is not consistent. Although I've seen it, I can't seem to get it to show.

If you have Photoshop (or some other photo editor), open your PNG and save it back out at 24 bit if you need the transparency. If not, just save it as a JPG as WetCircuit suggested.
