Sewing Becomes Unstuck Near Edge

Ask about specific settings, like fabric properties, or the difference between the sewing tools. These would be things you would expect to see in a software manual.

Sewing Becomes Unstuck Near Edge

Post by oreo5000 »

I am a new (today!) user of MD. I have created this pattern which functions as required when inset from the base pattern. Unfortunately when I move it into the corner, it would seem that the sewn edges become broken. Any ideas how I can fix this and have it sewn on those outer edges?

Thanks for your help!

On the top image it appears that the entire small piece is sewn to an internal shape on the larger piece.

For the second one, because part of the small piece is on the edge, you will need to sew the inner section to an internal line on the larger piece. Then you need to sew the edge of the small piece to the edge of the larger piece.

I hope that makes sense. You can't have an internal line on the edge, just sew to the edge.

I replied on the main MD forum... basically the same explanation.
