Re: Kpop Dress

This is what I have so far. Hmm, I never really tinkered with all the thickness function, so all my project so far are like 1 pixel 'thick'. As the white bra top is sitting on top the black one piece, I suppose i need to make it look thicker to look good. Workaround: In 3dsmax, theres a shell modifi...

Office dress

Hi,
Working on this piece based on the product pic. Hmm, the shoulder wrap around seems more complex than it looks.

Re: Cosplay dress

Hi Rosemaryr, Thanks for your advice. Making the bow seems a bit too difficult for me now. So I just use some other workaround for now. Regarding your advice from the discord channel on making a shoe/boots, I tried the following: a) import a sole-like OBJ (as garment, but without UV) This will impor...

Re: Cosplay dress

Hi rosemaryr, Thanks for the advice, will try that. Other issues to resolve: 1) pleated trims, as its sitting beneath the bodice and sewn under the 'side skirt', and above the skirt. The simulation seems to be quite difficult and easy to poke thru between layers. So the situation is like: a) layer 1...

Re: Cosplay dress

Ok, I got most of the pattern out. Question on the chest bow part. Any idea how to get this sort of attachment? I'm thinking, since the simulation will cause the bow to fall down immediately, so I probably need to use the pin in place and just let the bow 'float'. The 'pinched' look at the center is...

Cosplay dress

Hi, I'm trying to make this dress. I had a bit of success following some other template for anime/game dress, but this one may be a little difficult. Please advice and feedback as I post my progress. This project is a bit special as I will also port the dress into a game (resident evil). The example...

Re: How to recreate this glue-seam technique ?

Hi rosemary,
Thanks for the tips on the using folding to achive the embroidery effect. I need to test it out as the amount of polygon generated may be quite a lot.

For the red colored hem/edge thing, how do I get a nice rounded thickness like your example above? Thanks.

Layer setting for skirt

Hi,
I'm trying to make the white ruffles as highlighted on the attachment. Is this the correct way to do it?
a) main skirt set as layer 2 (or larger number)
b) the white ruffle set as layer 1 (or smaller)
Sometimes I get good result, other times it just get jumbled up.
